From the studio

Every company will have a builder.

October 2026 · 4 minute read

Not long ago, building software meant hiring engineers. Today, someone who knows the business and knows how to talk to AI can build real tools. That changes who does the building.

Building is becoming a skill, not a department

People are already building their own apps with AI. Some call it vibe coding: you describe what you need, the AI writes the code, and you shape it until it works. It isn't magic, and it isn't for everything. But for the tools a business runs on every day, it is often enough.

The new hire we see coming

Companies used to hire someone to manage their software subscriptions. We think the next hire looks different: someone whose job is to build and improve the company's own tools. They sit with the team, see what slows people down, and fix it the same week. Not a big engineering team. One person, or a few, who know the business and know how to build with AI.

Why this is good news

Where it gets hard

Starting from a blank page is still the hardest part. The first version sets the foundation: how data is stored, who can see what, how it stays secure. Get that right, and a builder can grow it for years. Get it wrong, and every change gets harder.

Where we fit

That's the part we love. We build the foundation with you, hand everything over, and show your builder how it works, so they can take it from there. If you don't have that person yet, we can be your builder until you do.
